Email: david.rose@saylor.org
David began at the Saylor Foundation in February of 2012 as the Personnel and Content Development Coordinator, but has recently moved into the role of Senior Content Analyst. David’s tasks include working with the Foundation’s consulting professors to find openly-licensed resources, doing market research on the other players in the Open Education world, and keeping Saylor.org’s courses at the forefront of cutting-edge with mobile app integration.
Born and raised in Hawai’i, David has been living in Washington, D.C. since October of 2011. After spending time at the University of Colorado and the University of Utah, he received his B.A. in Anthropology from the University of Hawaii at Hilo in 2011. He has many interests, as evidenced by his varied background in archaeology, solar energy, and now education.
When he’s not dreaming about the next time he can surf or snowboard, David spends his spare time relaxing with his girlfriend, exploring D.C., and planning their next trip (next up: Iceland, Switzerland, and the French Riviera!). He also enjoys watching or playing any sort of sport, as well as a nice cardigan.
Update! David was kind enough to sit down and talk about himself for our blog. Please check out our “snapshot” of David Rose: Globetrotter.
