Rachel Cohen-Marshall
Marketing Coordinator
Email: rachel.cohenmarshall@saylor.org
Rachel is the newly minted Marketing and Events Coordinator at the Saylor Foundation. You can find her in one of the office bean bag chairs thinking about how to get the Saylor mission and story out in the public eye — be it a tweet, a news story, or an upcoming event. She also teams up with Sean on community engagement to better serve and communicate with Saylor.org students and users — yes, you. So please feel free to tell us what you need, what you think or what you want to see up on our site.
Rachel graduated magna cum laude from the University of Saint Mary with a double major in Psychology and Political Science. After graduating in May 2007, Rachel picked up a dart and took a blind shot at a U.S. map–pleased with the results of this game of chance–she headed to the beaches of Key West, FL where she helped folks with mental health issues get back on their feet. It was here that Rachel got to explore the impact of community engagement and strategic visibility for nonprofit organizations–a couple things she’s been interested in ever since.
Her adventures in DC started in 2008 and led her to a brief career in legal marketing where she absorbed as much as she could about business operations, management and strategic planning (not to mention a healthy obsession with Excel spreadsheets). She also volunteers her time with a local organization that provides free women’s empowerment classes to the DC community. Rachel is constantly losing her iPad stylus (but finding it again!) and is interested to see how long she can go without pen and paper.
