Sean focuses his time on working on community outreach, holding the line on the Saylor.org’s social media outlets, and things of that nature. He can often be found around the discussion forums.

Sean received his B.A. in History from Williams College in 2001, and went on to continue his studies at Bennington College, earning his Masters in the Art of Teaching with a concentration in social studies in 2006. Before coming to work with the Saylor Foundation, Sean held a variety of positions in the education sector, including a middle school Humanities teacher for English Language Arts and Geography, a K-12 tutor and, in Sean’s words, a mild-mannered library clerk.  He began his tenure with the Saylor Foundation as a research assistant and recently transitioned out of his role as a course researcher/archivist.

Sean knows his way around Google Docs, is learning a little soft coding courtesy of Saylor.org, and is still trying to tack on a second language. Other items of note? About 15 years after its first release, Sean is finally getting around to looking into has finally finished the Harry Potter thing; his current project is reading a 1200 page novel on a smartphone. Having lived in ten states across the South, West, and North, he presently enjoys living in the greatest city on Earth: Washington, D.C.
