Sean Connor

Archivist
Email: sean.connor@saylor.org

As the Archivist for the Saylor Foundation, Sean focuses his time on building the organization’s Media Library, which he will operate upon completion; and assisting consultants in finding Open Educational Resources as they build out courses. Sean likens his role in the Foundation to that of a research librarian: if a great open resource is discovered, it eventually lands on Sean’s desk to be catalogued and communicated.

Sean received his B.A. in History from Williams College in 2001, and went on to continue his studies at Bennington College, earning his Masters in the Art of Teaching with a concentration in social studies in 2006. Before coming to work with the Saylor Foundation, Sean held a variety of positions in the education sector, including a middle school Humanities teacher for English Language Arts and Geography, a K-12 tutor and, in Sean’s words, a mild-mannered library clerk.  He began his tenure with the Saylor Foundation as an intern.

Sean is often the last one to leave the office in the evening, and yet he still manages to find the time to learn Mandarin for fun. Other items of note? About 15 years after its first release, Sean is finally getting around to looking into has finally finished the Harry Potter thing. He also enjoys living in the greatest city on Earth: Washington, D.C.
