Attention educators: Are you looking for an easy way to create and organize units, lessons, and courses for the next school year? Want to share your lessons with other teachers around the globe?

OER Commons has just the application for you! Yesterday, OER Commons announced the arrival of ISKME’s Open Author, a cloud-based Open Educational Resource (OER) editor that makes it easy for individuals to create, openly license, and share OER with other educators via OER Commons. In addition to providing an easy-to-use editor to create lectures, the tool also provides an option for folks to quickly upload and embed all videos, audio, PowerPoint, and images, as well as embed YouTube and TeacherTube videos.

The platform allows authors to easily openly license their educational resources – and also search for lessons created by other teachers so they can remix and adapt those materials for their own courses. Once materials are finalized, educators can print them to a PDF – or download them to a Learning Management System.
