Wikimedia UK, a charity supporting Wikipedia, is inviting you to the Education Conference run on 5-6 September 2012 in Leicester, UK. A day-and-a-half event will be looking at Wikipedia and related projects in terms of educational practice including open content and global participation. It’s a chance to find out more about this, talk about innovative work in your institution or online community, and shape the future of Wikimedia UK’s work in this area!

The conference will be of interest to any open education project contributors, students, educators, scholarly societies members and contributors to Wikipedia. The objectives of the conference are as follows:

“We will explore the ways these projects can support innovative education. We will discuss the Wikipedia Education Program (in which university students improve Wikipedia articles for course credit). We will learn from universities where the program is already embedded, exploring the educational opportunities and drawing lessons from the experience so far.”

  1. Hope I can make it to this special event. I can add the east idea to the west in Principle of Economics of Saylor. This text is in a monopolistic market. It must be differentiated more. Right now I am teaching at MCU, CM campus with lot of normative approach to my text in Thai.
