Here’s the latest news from the Saylor Foundation’s partnership with StraighterLine; our continuing mission: making straight the crooked pathways to college credit.

This time around, it’s all about numbers. Specifically, statistics.

Straighterline’s MAT202 combines our MA121: Introduction to Statistics (free) and a StraighterLine exam ($25 proctoring fee). The course has been “evaluated and recommended by the American Council on Education’s College Credit Recommendation Service (ACE CREDIT®).”

Saylor’s MA121 has long been a great opportunity for students to break into the world of statistics while never leaving their own chairs (or bedsides, couches…you name it). The difference is that, with SL’s MAT202, the course comes with potential college credit.

StraighterLine looks to “help students reach their full potential by putting them on a straighter line towards the degree of their choice, the career of their dreams, and the life they’ve always wanted – on their budget and on their schedule.” We’ve previously contributed our materials to StraighterLine’s microbiology course, and we’re pleased to continue the partnership with introductory statistics.
