Saylor Academy began with the simple idea that everyone, everywhere, should have access to education. We share this belief with Malala Yousafzai.

This year, for her birthday, Malala wants people to help fight for access to education for everyone around the world. What would universal education take? More than any one of us can give, but well within the power of the world community of nations.

Celebrate with Malala by sharing a photo of yourself holding your favorite book and with the hashtag #BooksNotBullets.

At Saylor Academy, we believe that education has the power to transform lives and that access to education for all who seek it is not just a priority, but a right. We are happy and humbled to hear the stories of students like these:

“I’m a college student….My dream was to study Mechanical Engineering, but sadly it’s not available for girls in [my country] and I can’t afford to study abroad. Now thanks to Saylor.org, it’s not a dream any more, it’s a reality !! Thank you thank you thank you so much for this opportunity, it changed my life.”
B.

“You’ve done such a great job for us. It’s just like a dream come true. Thank you so much.”
Sophie, China

“Thank you for helping me believe in myself!”
Penny, USA
