Vincent Khaha is a Saylor Academy student from South Africa. He’s a visionary and an active member of his community, always seeking to expand his knowledge and aid others in their search for obtaining new skills to prosper in life. After taking our Bitcoin for Everybody course, Vincent shared with us how he’s putting his new skills into practice. Read his story below.

Saylor Academy: Can you start by telling us about yourself? What are you currently working on? What are your goals and aspirations for the future?

Vincent: I have been working as a community developer and co-founder of Boitumelong dance and drama group, a worldwide visual theater carousel founder, and manager of Phaphama festival. I worked as a company driver for Alpla Trading Sub-Saharan Africa for the past five years. At the moment I’m focusing on developing and acquiring as much information on cryptocurrencies and investing more time in new revolutionary projects that can improve the world.

My wish is to see more and more people having full knowledge of projects like Saylor Academy. Moreover the most disadvantaged communities, parents who were previously disempowered and given no financial knowledge like how to create their own portfolios. My objective is to further involve more partnership as possible as this will strengthen more participation not just as individual communities, but as one world with similar objectives.

SA: How did you hear about Saylor Academy?

V: I saw a post by Michael Saylor on Twitter. Since then I started getting more excited about the opportunity of free courses for everyone, which is something hard to find, especially in Africa. This certificate has changed a lot of things. Not just for me but also the rest of my community. My in-house workshops have improved by a 3rd since I started. Thanks a lot, Saylor Academy.

SA: What impact has Saylor Academy had in your community?

V: Being able to transfer skills to someone is very important in any professional development. Saylor Academy has helped my community to get more knowledge, and most of the members of my community want to be part of Saylor Academy because now they don’t have to pay thousands of fees.
