Saylor Academy is partnering with Summer of Bitcoin, a program that offers paid virtual internships in Bitcoin design and development projects, to provide training for program applicants. 

Summer of Bitcoin offers students (in high school, undergraduate, and graduate programs) the chance to propose Bitcoin-Design or Bitcoin-Development projects and compete for internships.  Projects that are successful will earn a stipend as well as mentorship at  Bitcoin and Lighting Network-related companies throughout their project.

To be eligible for the program, learners should be in a school/university program and have some design/tech experience.  To prepare for the track they wish to pursue, applicants must take Bitcoin for Developers (Development) or Bitcoin for Everybody (Design) with Saylor Academy.

Summer of Bitcoin applicants will be able to further develop their skills by taking Saylor Academy’s free Bitcoin for Everybody (for the Design track) and Bitcoin for Developers (for the Development track) courses.   Saylor Academy’s courses are free, self-paced, and help learners earn certificates in emerging technologies such as Bitcoin, R programming, and Python, as well as other career skills.
