Saylor Academy seeks experienced subject-matter experts to create and revise assessments for our OER-based courseware. Assessment writers revise or replace final exam questions that have been flagged for falling below acceptable psychometric measures or for failing to meet other standards for assessment items. Assessment writers may be asked to re-write all or part of each flagged item. Saylor Academy also seeks expert faculty members to author new final exams for a number of courses. The type and composition of new exams will depend on the subject-matter of the course in need. Assessment writers will ensure that items are new, unique, original, and aligned to the course learning outcomes. Successful candidates for both projects will collaborate closely with Academy staff to ensure assessment development activities reflect a high standard of quality and effectiveness.
