About Paul Smith's College

Paul Smith’s College is a regionally accredited, private, nonprofit institution located in the beautiful Adirondack Park of northern New York State. Since welcoming our first class in 1946, we have remained committed to experiential learning – the notion that a college education should include theory and practice. With degree programs in fields including hospitality, culinary arts, environmental science, natural resources, forestry, entrepreneurship, and more, our “can do” graduates are prepared to launch successful careers, either close to home or around the world.

Paul Smith’s College accepts Saylor Academy courses that ACE recommends for college credit if those courses fit within a chosen degree program. Because different degrees have different graduation requirements, students should consult with a Paul Smith’s College Admissions Counselor or Academic Advisor for specific information on how Saylor courses can be counted for specific degree programs. MA001: College Algebra does not count for college credit but can be used as a substitute for the non-credit GST 099 course to show readiness in math.

Saylor Academy can help you complete your degree at Paul Smith's and our other partner schools with tuition-free Saylor Direct credit courses. Get started at www.saylor.org/credit.
