Saylor.org Areas of StudyI know what you’re thinking: ‘So, a news release about old news. Riiight.’ Well, yes, but here’s the thing: we’re summing up some of the great things that happened in 2012, especially in the last half of last year. Among other things, we:

  • Launched a successful provider channel on iTunes U;
  • Smashed through our ‘Original 241’ to a catalog of (today) 280 courses;
  • Got three of those courses approved for recommended college credit by an evaluation agency recognized by 1500+ schools
  • Increased eyes-on-courses 18 times over

You can read all about it here, or share the story from here.

If you’re looking for new news, stay tuned; we’ve picked up the pace significantly in the past six months, and there are some good, fresh stories coming down the line!

Edit: An earlier version of this post incorrectly stated that the agency that approved three course exams for recommended credit is an accrediting agency. This has been amended to “evaluation agency.” Learn more here.
