Bhagat Phool Singh Mahila Vishwavidyalaya, Khanpur Kalan which holds the distinction of being the first State Women University in North India. Since its inception in August 2006, BPSMV has traversed a cherishable journey. 

The focus of the university has been on the value creation and dissemination of knowledge to harness the true human potential. BPSMV has been putting special emphasis on the development of creative intelligence,  effective and efficient management, and leadership skills of our students. With a curriculum that includes numerous group activities and tasks in addition to the standard academic requirements, the students learn to work in teams. This way, they learn to become good team members and effective team leaders. Through this pedagogy the university is able to inculcate skills essential for the business leaders. The university is fully equipped and backed by a culturally, socially and economically rich heritage and has always been eager to provide best of the infrastructure facilities and opportunities to its students. 

Salient Features

• The university has established the Centre for Society- University Interface and Research (CSUIR) which offers innovative programmes like Integrated Energy Resource Management, Micro Finance Practices, and Folk Medicine etc.
• BPSMV is the first and only Indian university to establish the UGC Area Study Centre for Indic-Asian Studies.
• The university has signed MOUs with many foreign universities of repute.
• The university organsied Women Youth Parliament to hone leadership skills of students.
