As a nonprofit, we are a mission-driven organization: we aim to make education affordable for everyone who wants it and to provide our students with real-world opportunities. What we do at Saylor Academy works even better when we do it in collaboration with others.
We build courses that you can put to work for your students or employees in just minutes. Take a look below at how we work with our current partners to discover what is available to you today.
Our partnerships today are of two major kinds: our college credit transfer partners and special program partners.
- Our college credit transfer partners are colleges and universities that guarantee college credit for students who pass Saylor Academy’s credit-recommended exams.
We have fifteen fully-accredited College Credit Transfer Schools that accept some or all of our seventeen courses recommended for credit by the American Council on Education and the National College Credit Recommendation Service. That is nearly two years of very affordable, flexible credit for students who may be struggling to find the time and money to complete their degree.
Our college and university partners win at the same time that their students do – new students matriculate with credit in hand, making them much more likely to graduate; current students achieve their degree on time and overcome barriers that lead many to leave school before finishing; prior students who left before graduating return to earn their diplomas. The math works out well for everyone!
- Our special program partners are businesses, schools, and other organizations that use our courseware to inform the learning experiences of their staff, students, or other constituents.
One nonprofit in Haiti has built a curriculum using Saylor Academy courses that takes students from the classroom to the workplace. This organization directly supports students as they work through our courses and builds relationships with employers to place graduates in good jobs.
A company in Pakistan encourages their employers to develop their professional skills using Saylor Academy courses. The employer sees the benefits of an increasingly thoughtful, engaged staff, while the employees reap tangible benefits in professional advancement.
We have even worked closely with an online public college to create a complete business Associate’s Degree program based on our open courses.
