Next in our series of Saylor Academy stories, Anusha Jahangir reminds us the importance of focus in doing the job right.
Saylor gave me the chance to select and study the courses that I knew would help me in my long term practical life; not just at my current job but something that would add to my professional skills in general.
Since I have a lot more internal than external customers at work, I don’t have too much experience dealing with customers, but the Customer Service course made me understand that when dealing with customers, the focus should be on trying to help people get what they need rather than on just getting the job done.
Also, I was never the most organized worker, which used to have a negative impact on my efficiency at times. But the Time & Stress Management course taught me to focus on the right things at the right time, which helped me prioritize at work and even otherwise.
All the course material and assessments were available on a user-friendly online portal that was accessible from anywhere and at any time, which made the whole experience very convenient and easy.
